Search underway for missing teenage girl in Male’ City

A search operation has commenced for a missing 17-year-old girl in Male’ City

Maldives Police Service said that the girl was reported missing by her family on Sunday.

Police said that they are probing the case – whereas efforts are underway to locate the missing girl.

She has been identified as Aminath Zara Riyaz.

Teenagers have been reported missing by their families on previous occasions as well. In most circumstances, they are identified as runaways.

On last Thursday, a man from N. Henbadhoo was also reported missing. Search efforts for Ibrahim Ramiz, 28, Kunnaaruge, Henbadhoo, have been unsuccessful so far.
