Dhiraagu appointed digital partner for ‘Maafushi Eid Ufaa 1443’

Local telecom company, Dhiraagu, has been appointed as the digital partner for ‘Maafushi Eid Ufaa 1443’ – taking place at K. Maafushi as part of Eid al-Adha celebrations.

The partnership agreement was signed by Dhiraagu’s Senior Manager Brand and Marketing Communications Mirshan Hassan and Maafu Council President Hassan Salah.

Activities being held at Maafushi for Eid al-Adha includes variety of old-fashioned contests, including bodumas beynun, koadi nerun, and maali parade. Apart from this, a color run, waterpark games and a musical show are also set to take place.

Dhiraagu’s Assistant Brand Manager Naiya Shareef said that the telecom company is proud to support events such as this which promote our cultural heritage.

“We are delighted to be the digital partner for the “Maafushi Eid Ufaa.” We are proud to support events such as this which promote our cultural heritage and we hope to continue doing this,” she had said.

Maafushi Council President Salah thanked Dhiraagu for their support to various community and cultural initiatives.

“We are grateful for the company’s constant contributions to our events, especially large-scale events such as this one, which would greatly benefit island communities,” he had said.

Maafushi Council is expecting over 7,000 visitors to the island on the course of four days Eid celebratory activities will be held, starting from June 8 to June 11.
