In light of their decision to close the bank from July 10 to July 14 in conjunction with Eid al-Adha holiday – Bank of Maldives (BML) has requested customers to seek necessary banking services within this week.
Stressing that there were cutoff times to request for important services such as telegraphic transfers (TT), check processing and local transfers – BML’s Public Relations Manager Mohamed Saeed urged customers to apply for the service before the cutoff times on Thursday.
The cutoff times are as below;
International transfers
Local payments and transfers
Check processing
Saeed said that service requests and cheques receives after the deadline would be processed on the day which the bank reopens next. In this regard, the bank will reopen after the holidays on July 17.
“We urge customers to opt for internet banking and mobile banking for their banking transactions. Cash transactions can be done through our self-service banking centres set up across the country providing deposit, withdrawal and transfer services 24 hours a day,” he added.
Saeed also noted that basic banking services can be acquired through the bank’s cash agents set up in residential islands.
