Telecom operator Dhiraagu has signed as the digital partner for the Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Championship 2022.
The partnership agreement was signed by Bodybuilding Association of Maldives’s President, Ibrahim Hameed, and Dhiraagu’s Senior Manager Brand and Marketing Communications Mirshan Hassan on Tuesday morning.
The championship will be held from July 15-21 in K. Maafushi.
Over 500 athletes and officials from 25 countries will be participating in the championship, including 25 athletes from Maldives.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mirshan said Dhiraagu was delighted to be the digital partner for the 54th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Championship.
“It is indeed a great achievement for us to be hosting one of the most competitive international bodybuilding events in the Maldives,” he said.
Hameed, meanwhile, thanked Dhiraagu, and said their support and digital assistance was vital for the event's success.
“We are very excited for future collaborations and looking forward to take the sport to the next level,” he said.
The upcoming competition will be the first Bodybuilding and Physique Championship event to be held in Maldives. The championship is organized by the Asia Bodybuilding Federation, which is also a member of the Olympic Council of Asia.
Dhiraagu said it was committed to supporting and advocating projects to strengthen communities through sports and recreation.
