Met Office forecasts scattered rain for next three days, rough seas for tomorrow

Maldives Meteorological Service (Met Office) has forecasted scattered rain across the Maldives for the next three days, and rough seas for Saturday.

An official from Met Office told Sun on Friday, that they forecast scattered rain for the next three days – whereas good weather is expected in the three days which follows after which the weather will worsen again.

“The rain currently experienced is expected to last at most till Monday,” the official had said.

Although rain is expected across the Maldives for the next three days – Met Office only forecasts strong winds from northern and central areas.

In this regard, they expect winds at 10 to 20 miles per hour normally over the course of next three days, which may gusto 40 miles per hour during showers.

Met Office also stressed that they expect rough seas for Saturday. They are also expecting rough seas on Monday morning, with it subsiding in the evening.

On Sunday, Met Office warned widespread rain will affect islands across Maldives next week, as the school holidays approach.

The academic year is set to end next week.
