Three people arrested with alcohol, snakes

Police have found large amounts of alcohol and three snakes in a house in Male’, and arrested three people last night.

Police said that they found these items at around 10:15pm in M. Ahigasdhoshuge in an operation following information received by Police Intelligence, and arrested one 21-year-old person and two 23 year-old people.

Police said that the snakes have been removed from the scene and taken under Police supervision, to determine if they were brought into the country according to regulations.

Police have also publicised a video related to this operation.

Police have informed that the snakes were found in a room located on the third storey of M. Ahigasdhoshuge, and that 15 bottles of Finlandia vodka and 24 cans of beer were found in the room of one of the 23-year-old people who was arrested.

Further checks revealed an additional bottle of Finlandia in a bag that belonged to the 21-year-old person.

Police said that one of the two 23-year-old people is suspected of conducing large-scale trade of alcohol in Male’.
