900 trees are being planted in Kulhudhuffushi, a city located in the northern HDh. Atoll, under the “Fini Fehi City” progam.
Kulhudhuffushi councilman Rilwan Mohamed told Sun that the program was launched to celebrate Environment Day.
The program was launched on Saturday morning.
900 trees will be planted in locations across Kulhudhuffushi under the program.
“All institutions in the city are involved in this. 200 banyan trees are being planted on the main road,” said Rilwan.
Rilwan said that the trees planted on the main road will be maintained by the echo club of Jalaluddin School.
The “Fini Fehi City” program is an annual program launched by the local council.
580 people are involved in the project this year.
