Stressing the importance of education for the development of the nation, Meedhoo MP Ahmed Siyam Mohamed called on the government on Friday to make education free up to master’s degree.

Speaking at the Dh. Atoll Madrasa’s Prize Day event on Friday evening, Siyam said the obstacles to accessing quality education was one of the most common complaints he had been hearing from the people for the last two decades.

“I want to call upon the president and the government to make master’s degree free in Maldives starting next year,” he said.
