50 housing units to be build in Ga.Villingili

On Thursday, the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure signed the agreement to build 50 housing units in Ga.Villingili. 

The agreement was signed with Donbez Pvt Ltd during a ceremony held at the Housing Ministry. 

Director-General of Housing Department Ahmed Hamdhoon Wishan signed from the ministry, while the Head of Operations Ali Hamdhoon signed from the company. 

As per the ministry, the expenses of this project will be covered under this year's Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP) budget. 

The project is estimated to cost MVR 48.2 million. 

Housing units under this project are designed as two-story row houses, with a total area of 700 square feet in the build-up area. The units will have three rooms, three toilets, a living area, kitchen, dining area, balcony, laundry area and a store room. 

Additionally, the surroundings of the units will be lit, and a park and parking area will be built to create a better environment for those living in the units. 

As per the agreement, the project is mandated to be completed within 270 days.
