Former President Mohamed Nasheed has heavily criticised the current government and said that it is breaking up.
While speaking at a rally in Sh. Milandhoo last night as part of Maldivian Democratic Party’s (MDP) campaign trip ‘Journey of Pledges’, Nasheed said that he can hear the sound and feel the pain of the government breaking up.
Nasheed said that the strife and strong hostility between members of the current government impedes development for the Maldivian people.
Nasheed also accused President Dr Mohamed Waheed of having sent a letter to foreign groups, which revealed plans by the Police to assassinate him.
As usual, Nasheed said that MDP will return to power, and reiterated the pledges included in the party’s election manifesto.
The rally was attended by some Members of Parliament, senior members and supporters of MDP.
