Dhivehi Language Academy awards winners of various competitions

On Tuesday, the Dhivehi Language Academy awarded winners of various competitions organised by them.

During the ceremony held to kick off the 35th National Oratory Competition, winners of different competitions were awarded certificates and award plaques.

Winners of National Handwriting Competition (For government offices):

First prize: Tax Officer Nifla Ibrahim - Maldives National Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA)

Second prize: Assistant Council Officer Aishath Saudhiyya – Hithadhoo Ward Office

Speaking about the handwriting competition targeting offices, the Vice President of the Dhivehi Language Academy Zulfa Ibrahim said to Sun that it has been four years since its inception. She added that there is great support for the competition and that they received different and beautiful writing samples for this year.

Winners of the 33rd short story writing completion for the Award of Sheikh Malim Moosa Malaafai Kaleygefaanu were also announced at the ceremony.

First prize: Zamyath Binth Ali from Ihavandhoo School for the story ‘Naslu’

Second Prize: Aminath Thahseen Ibrahim from Ihavandhoo School for the story ‘Dheba dheythere’

First prize from schools: Ihavandhoo School

Secondary category

First prize: Jumana Hamid Ali from Ihavandhoo School for the story ‘Asaru’

First prize from schools: Ihavandhoo School

Higher Secondary category

First prize: Aminath Zaha Zahir from Ihavandhoo School for the story ‘Bunyaadhu’

Independent category

Under 18

First prize: Fathmath Jumana Mansoor (Bahaaruge / Ha.Ihavandhoo) for the story ‘Viyaam’

Over 18

First prize: Abdulla Faisal (Chaandhaneege / M.Veyvah)

In addition to this, the winners of the 36th essay writing competition for the Award of Al Usthaaz Mohamed Jameel Didi were also announced.
