Shahid refuses to attend Juvenile Court meeting

The Juvenile Court has said that Speaker of Parliament Abdullah Shahid has refused to attend a meeting at the Court.

A senior official of the Court said that Shahid was requested to attend a meeting on Judges’ health insurance at 13:00 today; however, the Parliament Office sent a letter to the Court indicating that the Speaker does not need to attend the Court following such requests.
