Two accidents in greater Male’ area; one hospitalized with serious injuries

Two road accidents took place in the greater Male’ area on Saturday night, one of them leaving a person hospitalized with serious injuries. 

The first accident took place in Hulhumale’ Phase II. It was reported to police at 09:20 pm. 

A police spokesperson said the accident was a collision between three motorcycles. Three adults and a child sustained injuries in the accident.  

One of the victims is hospitalized with serious injuries, said the spokesperson. 

The second accident took place on the highway between Male’ City and Hulhumale’. 

The accident was a collision between a car and a motorcycle. It was reported to police at 10:05 pm.  

The second accident did not result in any injuries. 

Police are looking into both accidents.
