Vice President Faisal Naseem met with the members of Fuvahmulah City Council on Saturday and held extensive discussions regarding the ongoing developmental projects in the city.
During the meeting held at the Secretariat of the Fuvahmulah City Council, the discussions mainly focused on the ongoing road development project, creating job opportunities for the youth, and improving healthcare and education sector services.
Additionally, council members further discussed with the Vice President ways to resume stalled PSIP projects.
Speaking about the administration’s efforts to create new jobs, VP Naseem urged the council members to exercise impartiality in hiring. He also went on to speak about the importance of creating more opportunities for people with disabilities and the underprivileged.
In addition to the VP, Dr Ahmed Zahir, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, who spoke about the Ihya Forum held Friday evening in Fuvahmulah City to renew and revive the spirit of Ramadan joined the meeting.
The Minister expressed his gratitude to the City Council for their support in organising the event.
