Ooredoo, MMWM distribute Iftar meal packs for migrant workers

In a collaborative effort, Ooredoo Maldives and Mission for Migrant Workers Maldives (MMWM) have distributed Iftar meal packs for migrant workers living in the Male’ area this year as well.

Ooredoo Maldives, in collaboration with the non-government organization advocating the rights of migrant workers in the Maldives, MMWM, had distributed Iftar meal packs for migrant workers last year as well.

As part of this initiative, over 200 meal packs are to be distributed to migrant workers every day.

The meal packs are distributed by volunteers at areas in Male’ City and Hulhumale’ with large numbers of migrant workers.

Ooredoo detailed that approximately 500 meal packs have been distributed so far this year.

In line with their motor to assist migrant workers living in the Maldives, the initiative was spearheaded by MMWM.

The non-governmental organization has opened the opportunity for the public to take part in the initiative by donating Iftar meal packs.

Ooredoo Maldives and MMWM, along with The Space, a restaurant also involved in the initiative, have urged more participation from the public.
