President Gayoom meets with Dr Mahathir

Former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom, who is currently visiting Malaysia, met with The Former Prime Minister of Malaysia Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed.

President Gayoom met with Dr Mahathir in his capacity as The Chairman of Maumoon Foundation.

In this meeting, Gayoom talked about the purpose of The Maumoon Foundation, and the social service programs undertaken by The Foundation for the benefit of the Maldivian people.

In addition to being active in the political arena, Dr Mahathir Mohamed is also the Honorary President of The Malaysian Perdana Leadership Foundation.

President Gayoom expressed support for Dr Mahathir’r work in The Malaysian Perdana Leadership Foundation. Dr Mahathir said that he will assist with getting Malaysian Education Institutions to collaborate with The Maumoon Foundation.

The meeting held at Dr Mahathir’s Office located in the Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, was also attended by Abbas Ibrahim, The General Secretary of The Maumoon Foundation, and Ismael Faiz, The Assistant Principal of the Secretariat of the Former President.
