BML staff hold clean-up events at Male’ Swimming Track and Hulhumale' Phase 2

Staff of Bank of Maldives (BML), on Friday, has held clean-up events at Male’ Swimming Track and the beach area of Hulhumale’ Phase 2.

The clean-up events were held in conjunction with International Day of Happiness, celebrated annually on March 20.

The events took place from 6:00am to 9:00am this morning, at the respective locations, in partnership with Swimming Association of Maldives, Parley, Dive Desk and Dive Club Maldives.

BML said that a total of 660 kg of debris and waste was collected from both locations including 84 kg of plastic which was delivered to Parley for recycling.

They also noted that 80 staff participated in the community work carried out this morning.

Coinciding with International Day of Happiness last year, BML has carried out various activities to support local communities in V. Felidhoo, L. Fonadhoo and HDh. Kulhudhuffushi.
