MNU makes presentation at UN Environment Assembly

Maldives National University (MNU) has presented information regarding the air quality management project it is running in collaboration with the Duke University at the United Nations Environment Assembly. 

The project was funded by the US State Department. 

During the presentation, MNU briefed the UN Environment Assembly regarding the current status of air quality monitoring system in Maldives, and the efforts to strengthen the system. 

The UN Environment Assembly was also briefed regarding human resource development programs conducted by the US State Department in the SAARC region. 

The presentation was made by Noora Khaleel, a lecturer at MNU’s Faculty of Engineering, Science and Technology. 

The theme of this year’s session of the UN Environment Assembly is “Strengthening Actions for Nature to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals”.
