COVID-19: Maldives confirms 204 new cases

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Saturday, announced 204 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in Maldives to 174,367.    

According to HPA, from the new cases; 14 cases from the greater Male’ region, 171 cases from residential islands outside Male’, and 14 cases from operational resorts. 

Meanwhile, 1,916 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 161,537.    

With the new developments, Maldives now has 12,520 active cases.      

Currently, there are 4 patients seeking hospitalized care.      

1,667 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours, including 362 samples from the greater Male' region.

March 9: 329 cases 

March 8: 273 cases 

March 7: 488 cases 

March 6: 306 cases
