Ooredoo Group partners with SAP to transform ERP solutions

Ooredoo Group has announced its partnership with multinational software corporation SAP to enable a complete digital business transformation and consolidation of all its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions across the majority of its ten operating companies.   

According to Ooredoo, SAP – the world’s largest provider of enterprise application software – will provide multiple solutions to facilitate complete digitalization, a key strategic goal for Ooredoo, as well as consolidation of all its ERP solutions to a centralized cloud platform.   

Ooredoo said the partnership will ensure the organization has the appropriate infrastructure to enhance the experience of its customers, employees, and suppliers through an integrated and end-to-end processes and systems, as well as increased automation and optimization.   

Ooredoo said that SAP’s proposal was an intelligent suite of integrated applications that enable agile, end-to-end business processes to help Ooredoo manage all aspects of its organization, from the employee, customer and supplier experience to its products, finances and IT.   

The RISE suite of applications, which will enable Ooredoo to enjoy large-scale strategic business benefits, includes S/4 HANA, SAP’s integrated ERP software, as well as SAP Ariba, its procurement and supply chain solutions platform. SAP SuccessFactors is its next generation human capital management solution, while SAP Business Technology Platform brings together intelligent enterprise applications with database and data management, analytics, integration and intelligent technologies such as robotic process automation (RPA).   

Ooredoo Group’s CEO and Managing Director Aziz Aluthman Fakhroo said the organization was actively seeking to establish and develop partnerships with world-leading providers such as SAP, as part of its corporate strategy to transform its business to accelerate growth.

SAP SE’s CEO and executive board member Christian Klein said the company was proud to be a key enabler in Ooredoo’s digital transformation journey.  

“Our holistic and customer-centric approach will help Ooredoo simplify and optimize its landscape, enabling the company to achieve its goals and respond to future opportunities with even greater agility and speed,” he said. 

The partnership between Ooredoo Group and SAP was announced at Mobile World Congress 2022, being held in Barcelona, Spain, this week.
