Education Ministry partners with UK’s Guide Education to train teachers

Education Ministry, in collaboration with UK’s Guide Education, has launched a professional development training program for school principals and teachers in Maldives. 

The program was launched by Education Minister Dr. Aishath Ali in a ceremony on Sunday. 

Education Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Ahmed Ali said online courses under the first round of the program will begin in one week. He said that 500 teachers will be trained in round one.

“It includes short-term courses on teachers’ education and teaching skills, classroom management, and then the leadership roles of leading teachers, school management, and education administration in general,” he said. 

Guide Education is a UK-based edtech company founded in 2009. The company has conducted similar programs in 54 different countries.
