Search commences for missing man near Gulhifalhu

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) revealed on Friday that a search has commenced for a young man missing man near Gulhifalhu.   

According to MNDF, the 21-year-old Maldivian male was hunting for octopus near Gulhufalhu and was reported missing around 08:58. It was also stated that he was last seen wearing a grey shirt and black shorts.

A search is currently ongoing by Coast Guard in the area. 

MNDF has not revealed any further details regarding the incident.
