A complaint regarding Islamic Minister and member of Adhaalath Party’s Scholars’ Majlis Dr Abdul Majeed Abdul Baree, has been submitted to Sulooki Committee of Adhaalath Party, indicating that some of Dr Majeed’s actions are in conflict with the interest of Party members.
Mohamed Muizzu of Adhaalath Party said today that this complaint was submitted to Sulooki Committee about a month ago, and this was done because after his resignation, Dr Majeed accepted reappointment as Islamic Minister, which was against the party’s policies. In addition, his actions are not in line with the interest of party members, and some statements made by him are in conflict with decisions made by the party.
“Because Dr Majeed’s actions are not in accordance with the interest of party members, the Scholars’ Majlis has decided to submit this problem to the Sulooki committee,” Muizzu said.
Having removed Sheikh Hussein Rasheed from the Party, who was the Party’s former President, Adhaalath has requested last week that Elections Commission remove his name from the Party Registry kept at Elections Commission.
The reason given for Hussein Rasheed’s removal from the party is also that his actions were not in accordance with the party’s policies and interest.
