Maldives National Party (MNP) has invited interested parties to donate to the party – headed by Dhangethi MP Colonel (Retired) Mohamed Nazim.

Nazim told Sun on Wednesday that the party has a lot of activities planned for the coming days, and needs funding from donors.

He said that a lot of parties have been offering financial assistance to fund MNP’s administrative expenses, political activities, and to establish the party’s branches in the atolls.

“A lot of people have offered it. They want to assist us. I believe firmly that the opportunity should be open to all who want to provide assistance in order to ensure this party does not belong to one specific person,” he said.

Nazim said that political parties in even the most developed countries operate by providing party members with the opportunity to provide financial assistance.

MNP said that donations need to be sent to the party’s account with Maldives Islamic Bank.
