MP Jabir’s Casa Mia to open in December, three years after arson incident

Kashidhoo MP Abdulla Jabir has stated that the guesthouse he owns at AA. Mathiveri, Casa Mia, will open for business on December 1 – three years after the arson at the guesthouse.

Speaking to Sun regarding Casa Mia – MP Jabir said that construction of the guesthouse is currently underway.

“The guesthouse needs to be rebuilt and reopened rights. Tourists will be accommodated at the guesthouse on December 1. Currently, we are undertaking the finishing works of the place,” he had said.

MP Jabir further detailed when the guesthouse reopens – it will have a swimming pool, a spa and a fitness center. He noted that the guesthouse is developed to a modern beach resort vibe.

Operated by MP Jabir’s Rich Club Maldives – Casa Mia Maldives was the location of an arson during April 2019. Back then – MP Jabir said that the guesthouse was set on fire after it was made ready for business with millions of dollars being spent on its development. The guesthouse severely burned down in the arson incident.

On Thursday – an allegation of an individual being assaulted at Casa Mia had come to light. Police confirmed that they were investigating the case – whereas MP Jabir had denied the allegation.
