The Government has announced that its online messaging service ‘gov.mv message’ is now available for public use.
An announcement publicized by the President’s Office read the detailed procedures government institutions must follow when responding to requests made through the new platform.
In this regard, institutions are mandated to reply to messages sent online within a specified amount of time. Replies must be given in Dhivehi language.
Speaking at the special ceremony held for the inauguration of ‘gov.mv message’ – President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih the platform will allow members of the public to submit documents to government institutions at any time of the day.
‘gov.mv message’ was designed with the inclusion of a dashboard that allows people to check the number of documents submitted to government institutions in real-time.
The new service will eliminate the need to physically visit government institutions or wait for office hours to submit documents, and will allow people to check the progress of action taken by government institutions in response to submissions.
