Education Ministry asks to inform if a mistake is noticed in Islam and Quran textbooks

Education Ministry has appealed to the public – requesting to inform them if a mistake that needs to be amended is noticed in any of the Islam and Quran school textbooks.

The issue of mistakes in the Quran verses written in some of the Islam and Quran school textbooks had come to light last week.

In an announcement made today – Education Ministry noted that currently, work was underway to amend the mistakes in the books.

In this regard, they have requested members of the public to inform them if a mistake is noticed in any of the textbooks via email. The Ministry instructs to email them at [email protected] – specifying which book it is and the page the mistake is on.

Prior to this, the Ministry has also stated that a special committee has been formed that will undertake the task of proofreading all Islam and Quran textbooks publicized for school children.

Noting that it was an independent committee – the Ministry noted that it was comprised of three-member teams for each grade.

They also noted that the committee is targeting to complete the proofreading works by the end of next week.

As part of their tasks – the committee will also formulate and submit a comprehensive report detailing the mistakes found in the books.
