Monitoring measures enforced at GDh. Nadella and Sh. Foakaidhoo has been lifted.

Nadella Council President Mohamed Anshau has confirmed to Sun that the council has been informed by HPA that the monitoring mechanisms have been lifted as of today.

He further detailed that despite this, visiting houses without an important need is still banned on the island. Moreover, the council will also continue to ensure that the island residents adhere to all the safety measures recommended by HPA such as wearing a mask when outside.

“A total of 213 persons had tested positive from this island. Only 14 persons have not recovered so far. At present, 42 houses on the island are under quarantine. This is as the recovered patients must wait for 14 days before being released from quarantine,” Anshau had said.

He also noted that as monitoring mechanisms have been lifted, the mosques on the island have been reopened for worshippers. He also added that physical teaching at Nadella School will commence next Sunday.

Foakaidhoo Council President Ahmed Asif also confirmed to Sun that the council has been informed by HPA that the monitoring mechanisms have been lifted as of today.
