MDP parliamentary group leader, Central Henveiru MP Ali Azim said on Wednesday that any shares he owns in resorts will be disclosed in his financial declaration.

Azim told Sun on Wednesday morning that he does not own any resorts in his own name, but owns shares in several.

“There can’t be any questions regarding the financial declaration. Any shares I own is disclosed on my financial declaration. If there aren’t any shares, that means I don’t own that resort,” he said.

Azim said he was honest in his financial declaration and made no attempt to misrepresent his financial holdings.

Azim’s financial declaration shows he owns shares in three resorts in Maldives; 12,375 shares in Kanbalifaru Investment, 50 percent shares in Nalaveli Maldives, and 250 shares in Travista Resorts.
