Ministry of Education has announced that they will be introducing a special card under the title ‘Green Card’ for parents who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Speaking at a press conference held by the Ministry today, Direct General Fathimath Azza had stated the Green Card will be issued to fully vaccinated parents within this month through collaboration with schools.
“We are calling this the ‘Green Card’. We will be discussing with schools to see how we can implement this in the most convenient manner for them,” she had said.
Azza further detailed that the card will be proof that the parents who come to receive and drop their children at school are fully vaccinated.
She added that the Ministry was currently working with schools to decide on how to proceed.
Prior to this, the Ministry had publicized a notice barring unvaccinated persons from entering schools starting from September.
