Special vaccine campaign for education sector commences

Ministry of Education has commenced a vaccine campaign specialized for the education sector today.

The message and hashtag which will be used in this campaign was unveiled by the Ministry as well; #DharivarunnahRahkaatherikan

This campaign is aimed to encourage getting both doses of the vaccine in order to ensure that physical studies remain uninterrupted after its resumption at the beginning of the new academic year.

According to the Ministry, as part of this campaign, teachers and education sector workers will disseminate information to raise awareness on the importance of being vaccinated against COVID-19 – as a precautionary measure.

The campaign will be carried out through schools and social media.

A majority of education sector workers have already been fully vaccinated as of present. The Ministry noted that they will continue their efforts to ensure that everyone who are contacts to students are fully vaccinated in order to ensure that physical studies remain uninterrupted after its resumption at the beginning of the new academic year.

In line with this aim, the Ministry has barred unvaccinated persons from entering schools starting from September 1.
