Health Ministry states it is not looking into a case involving fake negative PCR tests at present.

Health Ministry’s Quality Assurance Commissioner Thasleema Usman denied recent allegations of fake PCR tests, stating that the issue in question took place months back.

“That’s an old case. We even informed the media back then when we recognized the issue,” she said.

Thasleema said that no such issue has come to the Health Ministry’s attention recently.

Her comments comes after some media outlets reported that the police were investigating a case involving fake negative PCR tests, and that the case has been also brought to the attention of Health Ministry.

Thasleema denies the media reports.
