Monitoring status lifted at Thoddoo and Rasdhoo

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has lifted monitoring measures at AA. Thoddoo and AA. Rasdhoo

Thoddoo was placed under monitoring measures on May 24. The island has been brought under monitoring measures prior to this instance as well – whereas on March, travel to and from the island was temporarily banned.

Rasdhoo was placed under monitoring measures on July 17 – and after 12 days monitoring status has been lifted today.

With these new developments, there are presently 11 islands under monitoring mechanism in the Maldives. They are:

• GN. Fuvahmulah
• R. Dhuvaafaru
• G.A. Kooddoo
• Sh. Foakaidhoo
• K. Kaashidhoo
• HDh. Kulhuduffishi
• H.A. Dhidhdhoo
• M. Kolhufushi
• Sh. Feevah
• H.A. Thakandhoo

As of yesterday, Maldives has a total of 2,541 active cases. 60 cases were recorded yesterday from residential islands outside of Male’ area.
