Addu City’s Maradhoo Health Centre has temporarily been closed subsequent to an in-patient testing positive for COVID-19.
In a statement released by the Health Centre, they stated that some of their employees are direct contacts with the patient – hence the Centre will temporarily be closed for a period of three days. However, they note that some of their services such as doctor’s consultations will be provided over the phone during these days.
The statement also read that the Health Centre will be reopened after the results of their staffs come back negative.
Maradhoo Health Centre also encouraged island residents to seek help from the nearest healthcare facilities for emergencies on the days that they will be closed.
Additionally, they requested the corporation of the island residents on the matter during this difficult period.
