Maldives has been relisted on United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) COVID-19 Green List.
UAE’s COVID-19 Green List comprises of a list of countries which is deemed the safest amidst the pandemic based on efforts put by the respective countries to curb the spread of the virus as well as the positivity rates. The list is drawn up by the UAE’s Department of Culture and Tourism.
Inbound travelers to UAE from countries that are on this list will not have to undergo a quarantine period upon their arrival.
Maldives was previously mentioned on the list – however, was taken off the list due to the deteriorating COVID-19 situation in the island nation back in February.
Seven other countries have been added to the list along with the Maldives; Bahrain, Brunei, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Poland, Serbia and Ukraine.
Meanwhile, 12 countries have been omitted from the list following the deteriorating COVID-19 situation in those countries.
