Siyam: Eid is a day for forgiveness and kindness

Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) leader Ahmed Siyam Mohamed says Eid is the day for forgiveness and kindness, and strengthening of familial bonds.

In a message on occasion of Eid al-Adha, Siyam, who serves as the parliamentary representative for Dh. Meedhoo constituency, said everyone’s duty on Eid should be to check the wellbeing of family members and provide them with assistance. He said that it is both a family and religious duty.

Siyam said that every Eid that Muslims celebrates has a communal spirit to it, and that Eid al-Adha is celebrated to spread friendship and joy within the community.

Siyam conveyed Eid greetings to all MDA members, the Maldivian people, and the entire Muslim community.

He also urged people to cooperate with authorities to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic, and take all necessary precautions.
