COVID-19 patient admitted at Hulhumale’ Medical Facility (HMF) passed away midnight at 00:17 hours.
Sun is able to confirm the identity of the latest COVID-19 fatality as a 49-year-old Maldivian male.
His death increased the number of COVID-19 fatalities in the Maldives to 216.
The last COVID-19 fatality was recorded two days ago of a 60-year-old Maldivian man – also admitted at HMF.
As of July 15, the Maldives have confirmed 75,622 OVID-19 cases from which 72,833 COVID-19 patients have made full recoveries. The Maldives now has 2,562 active cases out of which 14 patients are being treated in hospitals.
