COVID-19: 91 new cases, 23 from Male' area

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Saturday, announced 91 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 75,162.

According to HPA, the 91 new cases include; 23 cases from the greater Male’ region, 61 cases from residential islands outside Male’ and seven cases from operational resorts

Meanwhile, 90 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 72,439. 

With the new developments, Maldives now has 2,497 active cases.

There are 15 patients in hospitals.

7,999 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.

July 10: 90 cases

July 9: 55 cases

July 8:  124 cases

July 7: 139 cases

July 6: 105 cases

Maldives has recorded 214 COVID-19 deaths.
