Maldives records additional 55 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

Health Protection Agency (HPA), has announced 55 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 74,903. 

The 55 new cases include; 25 cases from the Male’ area, 20 cases from inhabited islands outside of Male’ and 10 cases from operational resorts

Meanwhile, 119 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 71,877. 

With the new developments, the Maldives now has 2,801 a1ctive cases.

There are 26 patients in hospitals. 

4,580 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.

The Maldives has recorded 213 COVID-19 deaths.
