COVID-19: 105 new cases, 23 from Male’ area

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Tuesday, announced 105 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in Maldives to 74,585.

According to HPA, the 105 new cases include; 23 cases from the greater Male’ region, 74 cases from residential islands outside Male’, 7 cases from operational resorts, and 1 case from industrial islands.

Meanwhile, 183 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 71,212.

With the new developments, Maldives now has 3,148 active cases.

There are 25 patients in hospitals.

4,200 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.

With the 105 new infections this Tuesday, 925 people have tested positive over the last one-week period.

July 6: 105 cases

July 5: 129 cases

July 4: 127 cases

July 3: 150 cases

July 2: 143 cases

July 1: 133 cases

June 30: 138 cases

Maldives has recorded 213 COVID-19 deaths.
