COVID-19: 127 new cases, 26 from Male’ area

Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Sunday, announced 127 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in Maldives to 74,351.

According to HPA, the 127 new cases include; 26 cases from the greater Male’ region, 79 cases from residential islands outside Male’, 6 cases from operational resorts, 3 cases from islands under development, and 13 cases from industrial islands.

Meanwhile, 166 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 70,889.

With the new developments, Maldives now has 3,237 active cases.

There are 21 patients in hospitals.

4,641 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.

With the 127 new infections this Sunday, 1,024 people have tested positive over the last one-week period.

July 3: 150 cases

July 2: 143 cases

July 1: 133 cases

June 30: 138 cases

June 29: 178 cases

June 28: 155 cases

Maldives has recorded 213 COVID-19 deaths.
