Maldives records 233 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

Health Protection Agency (HPA), has announced 233 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing confirmed cases in the Maldives to 73,327.

According to HPA, the 150 new cases include; 31 cases from the greater Male’ region, 157 cases from residential islands outside Male’, and 45 cases from operational resorts.

Meanwhile, 225 additional COVID-19 patients were confirmed to have made full recoveries over the last 24 hours, increasing total recoveries to 69,031.

With the new developments, the Maldives now has 4,075 active cases.

There are 29 patients in hospitals.

5,172 samples have been tested for COVID-19 over the last 24-hours.
