Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced three more deaths in connection with COVID-19 in the Maldives.
The death toll has now increased to 132, with more than 55 deaths reported in May alone.
HPA said that the first fatality was an 81-year old Maldivian male. He was brought into the IGMH Emergency Room and was declared dead at 2:02 in the morning.
The next death was a 58-year old Maldivian male, admitted at the Hulhumale' Medical Facility.
HPA said that the individual passed away at 4:25 in the morning.
Sun has also managed to confirm that a third death related to the virus was a 77-year old male receiving treatment at the Hulhumale' Medical Facility.
With the deaths, 132 people have died in relation to the virus.
