Maldives records 97th death related to COVID-19

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced the third death today related to COVID-19. 

HPA said that the individual, aged 83 passed away at 15:10. HPA identified the individual as a male Maldivian and said that he was admitted at the Hulhumale' Medical Facility due to the virus when he passed away. 

This is the 97th COVID-19 death in the Maldives. 

The other three deaths recorded today were also all locals admitted at the Hulhumale' Medical Facility. 

The Maldives currently has more than 15,000 active cases of COVID-19. with around 260 hospitalized due to the virus.
