The Ministry of Education of the Maldives has stated that A-Level examinations in the Maldives would continue until further notice by Edexcel, the organizers of the examinations.

The statement comes after the leak of several A-Level papers in the midst of the examinations. Sun had also received scanned copies of multiple papers and even screenshots of social media groups which show discussions between individuals believed to be students regarding the leaked papers.

The leaked papers include the Biology papers of the examination which was held today. Other leaked papers include Physics, Mechanics, Statistics, Business as well as Chemistry papers.

A statement by the Ministry regarding the matter read that the leak had not come from an examination center in the Maldives and that it was taking all measures and following all protocols put in place to ensure the secrecy of the exam papers.

The Ministry did, however, state that it had received information that examination papers were leaked in another nation and that it was looking into the matter.

The statement further read that the examinations would go ahead according to the current schedule until further notice by Edexcel.
