The island of N. Holhudhoo has been placed under monitoring mechanisms after two cases of COVID-19 were detected on the island.
The Health Center of the island stated that the two cases were connected with the Felivaru cluster and that contact tracing was now underway on the island.
Individuals who traveled to Holhudhoo from Felivaru, and returned to Felivaru on March 20, have tested positive for the virus. Samples are currently being collected from the island of Holhudhoo as a result.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) stated that Holhudhoo was placed under mechanisms since yesterday for contct tracing and case investigations. Until then, travel to and from the island is restricted.
