Edexcel A Level examinations scheduled for April 26

The Education Ministry of the Maldives has stated that Edexcel has scheduled the A Level examination of this year to be held on April 26.

The Ministry stated that the schedule change was made by Edexcel, the organizers of the examination. The Ministry also said that no discussions had taken place between Edexcel and the Ministry nor the Department of Public Examination of the Maldives before the decision was taken. 

The Ministry added that it had held discussions with Edexcel to change the date, but to no avail. 

The changes to the schedule of A Level and AS Level examinations mean that the HSC examinations will be held after one month from these examinations from June 13 to 17. 

Due to COVID-19, the May/June A Level Examinations were not held last year. It was held later in October/November.
