Maldives records highest daily tourist arrivals in ‘21 with over 5,275 visitors

Tourism Ministry states Maldives made a new record in daily tourist arrivals this year on Friday, the highest since the country reopened its borders after the COVID-19 lockdown.

Tourism Ministry states tourist arrivals on Friday, March 26, exceeded 5,275 visitors.

Tourism Ministry issued a short statement on its official Twitter account congratulating travel and tourism industry partners, and especially employees, on the achievement,

“Thanks to the lovely tourists for believing in Maldives,” added the Tourism Ministry.

Statistics released by Tourism Ministry show Maldives recorded 272,652 tourist arrivals by the end of March 25; this includes 83,667 arrivals so far this March, 96,882 arrivals in February, and 92,103 arrivals in January.

The biggest source market for tourist arrivals since border reopening is India, followed by Russia and Ukraine.
