Condition of man stabbed in Fuvahmulah serious: IGMH

One of the two men who were stabbed last night at around 7:30pm in Maadhandu, Fuvahmulah, has been brought to Male’ in emergency, and is currently being treated at IGM Hospital.

The injured man is Ahmed Muslim, 21, of Vaige, Dhandimagu, Fuvahmulah.

An official of IGMH has informed that Muslim was brought in at around 5:38am, and that he is currently being treated at the emergency room in IGMH. He said that the man’s condition is serious, and that further information will be provided after the doctor’s report.

An official of Fuvahmulah Hospital said that Muslim was transported by air in emergency with the assistance of Police and MNDF Officers at around 2:30am. He said that Muslim was sent to Male’ due to internal bleeding from the stab wound to his neck.

“We are not able to do some necessary tests. Also, flights cannot land here after dark. So he was sent on a Police helicopter to Addu, and from there he was transported to Male’ on a flight,” he said.
