2 injured after fall while installing AC unit

Two people were injured on Saturday after they fell off a sling while installing an air conditioning system inside the Criminal Court grounds in Male’ City.

According to the police, the two people sustained head injuries in the incident and have been taken to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for treatment.

They were indentified as a foreign national and a local.

The case was reported to the police at approximately 12:35 pm.

According to the police, the two fell with the outdoor unit.

A source from the area told Sun the two had been installing an air condition unit while suspended on a sling, and hit their head when they fell.

Conducting such work without proper safety measures have resulted in similar accidents in the past.
